It is pragmatism rather than philosophy that has turned the Covenant towards medieval arms and armours. Raw metal is easier to get hold of than highly processed impact distribution plates, and chainmail is in many ways just as effective against the undead as any other armour. This is the chainmail vest of the standard missionary armour set - links of uncoloured titanium knitted together into cheap yet effective protection.
