Description

The draft command allows you to make a copy of a schematic to which you have access in a book (your memory is not a sufficiently detailed source). You will need an empty schematic to act as the destination, and the copy you make will usually be of worse quality than the source except in the case of a critical success.

Syntax Forms

draft <schematic> from <source> onto <blank blueprint>
Make an attempt to draft the specified schematic in the specified source book onto the indicated blank blueprint

Examples

Example one

> draft large axe shaft from book onto blueprint
You begin to draft a schematic onto the schematic blueprint.
You manage to make a competent copy of the schematic - it's not as good as the original, but that is the way of this harsh world.

Success

  • loss of 3 levels of quality:

You struggle hard to make the schematic, and while your efforts are far from inspiring, they are not without a measure of success. It's readable, certainly, but far from a direct copy of the original.

  • loss of 2 levels of quality:

You manage to make a competent copy of the schematic - it's not as good as the original, but that is the way of this harsh world.

  • loss of 1 level of quality:

Your considerable skill results in a reasonably close copy of the original schematic - it's not perfect, because so few copies are, but it's certainly a cut above what lesser mortals might be able to do.
