Alignment List

Autocrat

What matters now is stability - a sense of order. It would be nice, in an ideal world, if we did the right thing all the time, but that is pre-apocalypse thinking. Now, what matters is rebuilding society. If a few people need trampled on to give up the quaint idea of 'human rights', then that is what must be done.

Battlefield Doctor

Look buddy, I don't care how bad that guy is - I have to treat him. I took an oath - it doesn't matter to me what he did, it doesn't matter to me what he will do. I'm a doctor, and I treat people. It's not what I do. It's what I *am*.

Big Damn Hero

Just because the world has gone to hell, it doesn't mean that our basic human decency must do so also. Now is the time, more than any time, for people to stand up and be heroes. We can't always hope to achieve that lofty goal, but we can try to do our best and inspire others to do also.

Born Under A Bad Sign

The world has turned to shit - we know that. Really then, is there any point in trying to rebuild society? We're all heading for death, so why not have a little fun on the way out? Now that the normal mores of society are out of the way, you aim to misbehave.

Bully

It's fun to hit people, and it's fun to see bad things happen to - well, just people generally. The apocalypse has opened up a lot of opportunities for people to misbehave and get away with it. Hell, with no police and scant little society, you can do whatever you like and get away with it. Life's great, right?

Charmed Life

There's a reason that you're still here and other people aren't - some people rely on luck, some people are beset by endless bad luck, and others simply make their own luck. That's you - things just seem to go your way, even in the crapsack world of the zombie apocalypse.

  • Required Morality - Order: Between -2500 and 2500

Consigliere

It is not a glamorous job, but every organisation needs someone They can rely on utterly - someone they know will always work best for the good of the group rather than their own personal benefit. If ever there is trouble, you're the one they call on because there is no-one more trustworthy than you.

  • Incompatible with: None

  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between 5000 and 10000

Enforcer

Allies are everything in the grim darkness of the zombie apocalypse. If you don't have allies, then you're just another dumb schmuck who'll end up writhing on the business end of a zombie's teeth. It's good to have allies, and also good to be the one they depend on when something needs to stop moving. Don Corleone had his Luca Brasi - your friends have you.

  • Incompatible with: None
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group has a 10% reduction in how quickly their stamina is lost.
  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between 5000 and 10000

Goodfella

It's us and them, kiddo - you have to pick a side and you need to stick to it. It doesn't matter if you're the good guys or the bad guys, it just matters that your side wins and the other sides lose. Badda boom, badda bing.

  • Required Morality - Justice: Between -10000 and -5000

Hoodlum

You've got your buddies, screw everyone else. Time to tear this world a new one. You're one of a crew, and the bonds go deeper than mere friendship. You're a pack of wolves, and you know what wolf packs do. They hunt.

  • Incompatible with: Survivalist
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group has a 10% reduction in the duration of their cooldowns.
  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between -10000 and -5000

Indiscriminate Trickster

Violence is a means to an end, and loyalty is a handy way to get what you want. The real joy in life comes from chaos, and chaos means bad things happening to good people as well as good things happening to bad people. Time to spread some disorder and shake up the new world order!

  • Incompatible with: Quisling
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group gains a bonus of 200 to their maximum stamina.
  • Required Morality - Justice: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between -10000 and -5000

Inquisitor

If you are going to rebuild a society, sometimes you're going to have to break a few legs. I mean, eggs. Nobody said the apocalypse was going to be easy, but you're damn sure it's going to be a temporary blip in mankind's upwards trajectory. If a few undesirables get killed along the way, then so be it - it's an acceptable cost of doing business.

  • Incompatible with: None
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group gains a bonus of 10% bonus to combat skills.
  • Required Morality - Order: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between 5000 and 10000

Last Person On Earth

You know, there's no point in any of them. Even those who survived are just getting in the way of the supplies I need. How great would the world be if I was the last person on Earth? In fact, now there's no police, who is to stop me? Kill them all. ALL OF THEM.

  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Justice: Between -10000 and -5000

Libertarian

Listen, everyone has got this all wrong. The end of the world was the best thing that could possibly have happened. There's no law any more, no government, barely any society. Now's the best time there's ever been to be alive - liberty and justice for all, as long as you can protect yourself.

  • Incompatible with: Born Under A Bad Sign
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group has a 2% bonus, before modifiers, to their chance to TM.
  • Required Morality - Justice: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between -10000 and -5000

Lovable Rogue

Sure, you might steal a few things. You might even steal things from people who thought of you as a friend. But you don't hurt people, and that's not nothing. In fact, in a certain light you could even be something of a folk hero - after all, property is just a game these days anyway.

  • Required Morality - Justice: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between -10000 and -5000

Negotiator

Violence just makes things worse, but there needs to be some way to have people come together and forge bonds of society. There's a role there for someone to step between warring factions and bring order from chaos. There's a role for someone like you.

  • Required Morality - Violence: Between -10000 and -5000

Paladin

The right thing is the right thing, and you're not going to let a little thing like the end of the world stand in the way of being fairin your dealings. Your code of honour is your shield, and with it you can bring light to dark places.

  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between 5000 and 10000

Quisling

Well, that was humanity. It was okay while it lasted, but really - look at the society we had forged in the last days. The absolute worst traits of humanity were put on TV and venerated. Look at the undead - they are perfect in their design. They don't tire, don't hunger, and never feel pain or fear. Wouldn't it be great to be one of them? With enough mental effort, perhaps you too could become like them.

  • Incompatible with: Survivalist
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group has a 5% reduction in how quickly their hunger, energy and thirst decay.
  • Required Morality - Order: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between 5000 and 10000

Senator

Violence is not the answer. Violence is what the dead deal in. We must seek to establish a new, better society - one of justice and of peace. We need debate and reason, not guns and blood. We will win this war by becoming better versions of what we always could have been. We will beat the dead into submission with our better natures.

  • Incompatible with: None

  • Required Morality - Justice: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between -10000 and -5000

Starscream

You've never been one for following, but a group is the best way to really get the chance for grade A violence. You're far from a loyal foot soldier though - a group is of use to you as long as it's of use to you. Loyalty is a game for fools and sheep.

  • Incompatible with: Survivalist
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group has a 10% bonus to their perception.
  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between 5000 and 10000

Survivalist

Alright, so it's the end of the world. What are you going to do about it, lay down and die? No, you're going to take back this city from these abominations, and you're going to show them exactly who is top of the fucking food chain around here. The important thing is to stay alive, and that road starts when the undead are gone.

  • Incompatible with: Quisling
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group gains a bonus of 200 to their maximum stamina.
  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Order: Between 5000 and 10000

Vigilante

Sure there may be some groups trying to patch together a semblance of society, but that's not for you. You don't need anyone to tell you what's right and what's wrong, and you certainly don't need some bleeding heart telling you how to dispense post apocalyptic justice. A hard rain's a gonna fall, and you're the storm cloud.

  • Incompatible with: None

  • Required Morality - Justice: Between 5000 and 10000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between 5000 and 10000

Whistle Blower

Bad things are bad things, regardless of who is doing them. The important thing is that justice is done - it doesn't matter especially to whom it is done. Friends, enemies, family - it's all the same. We must do right and be seen to do right, and we must hold those dear to us to as high a standard as we hold strangers.

  • Incompatible with: Born Under A Bad Sign
  • Group buff: Everyone in your group has a 5% boost to base rsolve.
  • Required Morality - Loyalty: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Justice: Between 5000 and 10000

Wormtongue

The best way to bring down society is not as a gunslinger, but as a politician. A honey word in the right ear, a sword of suspicion in the right hand, and a dark thought in the right mind - those are the real tools of power, and you wield them like a master.

  • Incompatible with: Survivalist
  • Group Buff: Everyone in your group loses faction reputation at 80% of the speed they normally would.
  • Required Morality - Order: Between -10000 and -5000
  • Required Morality - Violence: Between -10000 and -5000
